What is Govind Vihar JDA Yojana

Objective of Govind Vihar JDA Yojana
Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has launched housing schemes to provide affordable plots to people living in Rajasthan. The aim of these schemes is to help families, especially those with low or middle income, get ownership of land to build their homes. JDA offers plots at low prices and uses a fair lottery system to choose who will get the plot. This makes it easier for everyone to apply and gives them a fair chance. Its main goal is to help people who are unable to buy expensive properties and to promote planned urban development.
Eligibility Criteria for Govind Vihar
- The applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan.
- The person must be at least 18 years of age at the time of applying.
- The applicant must have a bank account in his/her name, and it must remain active throughout the scheme.
- The applicant, their spouse or any dependent must not own a residential plot or house (whether leased or freehold) in any city of Rajasthan with a population of more than 1,00,000.
- The applicant must not have received a house or plot at a concessional price from the Jaipur Development Authority in the last 10 years.
- The total annual income of the applicant and their family (husband, wife and dependent) will be based on the financial year 2023-24.
- Applicants filing income tax returns must include a copy of their ITR/Form 16 and PAN card as part of their income certificate.
An applicant can apply only under one reserved category:
- 10% for Central or State Government employees and employees of Government Undertakings
- 2% for accredited journalists
- 2% for transgender persons
- 10% for military personnel (including ex-servicemen and their families)
- 5% for persons with disabilities
- 5% for general public
- 10% for orphans or single women including widows of martyrs or their dependents
- Regularly selected employees of State Government/Undertakings/Government Agencies who are on probation are also eligible to apply.
- All applicants must follow the specific reservation criteria prescribed by the Department of Urban Development and Housing.
